Measuring 200 feet across and  40-foot deep, the Kitch-iti-kipi natural attractions is Michigan's largest freshwater spring! Palms Book is one of our unique State Park's because it has a very incredible jewel of an attraction - Michigan's Kitch-iti-kipi, or easier to say - The Big Spring. Over 10,000 gallons a minute flow through the fissures in the underlying limestone. It runs year-round at a steady temperature of 45 degrees fahrenheit. Although you pay to enter the park, the observation raft is free. It just takes one person to turn the large wheel and the raft follows a cable that guides it along the path to and fro. Tree trunks from ancient times, water bubbling from the springs, and huge trout are some of the great specticals that you will observe during your trip. There is a great souveniour and snack shop in the park also.
